Coin Photography with LED Lighting

If you are in a situation where the lighting changes for each photo slightly, strobe lighting might be a little tricky, especially if you have a lot of photos to take. For this photoshoot, we had to take photos of coins. We needed to figure out a lighting situation that basically stayed the same, but every coin was slightly different. An LED lighting solution with a live view preview monitor attached to our 5D Mark IV worked perfectly. We used these new Falcon Eyes LED light panels. We have a 12" panel and an 18" panel. Personally, I use the cool temperature lights, which dim, but they also sell lights where you can change the color temperature of the LEDs.
